If you have administrator rights in Amberlo you can easily to turn on/off the function "Related object is required for tasks and events":
1. Go to the General Settings and click Planning in the left-hand menu.
2. Mark or unmark the checkbox "Related object is required for tasks and events".
2. Click the button Save to save your changes:
Once the function "Related object is required for tasks and events" is enabled, the field "Related to" will be marked as required:
