This is where you can create and edit custom fields which can be used for storing additional matter information. #### How to access Matters Custom Fields Settings? 1\. Go to the [General Settings](https://help.amberlo.io/anatomy-of-amberlo-settings?hsLang=en) and click **Matters** in the left-hand menu. 2\. Click the tab **CUSTOM FIELDS:** **![How to Add, Edit or Remove Matters Custom fields1](https://help.amberlo.io/hs-fs/hubfs/KB%20Images/KB_EN/How%20to%20Add%2c%20Edit%20or%20Remove%20Matters%20Custom%20fields1.png?width=688&height=281&name=How%20to%20Add%2c%20Edit%20or%20Remove%20Matters%20Custom%20fields1.png)** #### From the Matters Custom Fields Settings you can: 1. **Add new Custom Field.** 2. **Edit Existing Custom Field.** 3. **Remove Custom Field.** 4. **Change places Custom Fields.** ### 1. How to add new Custom Field to Matter? 1\. Click **+** button and the window **Add new custom field** will open. 2\. Enter **Field name**. Field Name stores the name of the Custom Field. Field names can contain the special characters \<, \>/, etc. 3\. Select field **Type**. Type determines what type of data is stored in the field. 4\. Mark selected checkboxes - **Additional Controls for Custom Fields**.  5\. How to Edit Custom Field? 1\. Click on selected Custom Field. 2\. Do changes. 3\. How to Remove Custom Field? How to change places Custom Fields? You can edit the order of Custom Fields.
